Go with Stock Advisor if you want to maximize growth or go with Income Investor if you want to maximize income. Or you can go with neither as suggested. If you really want to just get dividend income, the most you can hope for will be in the 2-4% range and probably closer to 2% than 4%.

I think the point trying to be made is that dividend and capital gains returns aren't as important as total return. Focusing on one or the other will not optimize your return.
