Going totally off topic here, please excuse this and I'll stop with the beer after this post, promise!

Friend???? has my tap. Why am I so cheap I don't buy another? I blame my Germanic serf heritage both for the taste of beer and the, lets say, frugality. Its a nice and simply British Brown Ale just sitting there. <sigh>

Wow, you should tell that friend to hie himself down to ye old shop and get his own darn cobra tap; it's not like they break the bank! Although to look on the bright side I've often found that some enforced aging can make the brew more enjoyable.

Speaking of English Browns, one of the beers I just kegged was my first Mild. The other was an American Stout, and I used some of the yeast from the mild for a winter warmer (though at 1.090 it will probably end up being next year's winter warmer!) All three recipes were from _Brewing Classic Styles_ which has given me some really nice results so far.

Cheers!
