I am retired at age 62. I do not expect tostart cashing in on my IRAS or 401k for another 7-8 years. Having lived through these past 60+ years I have seen numerous fianancail bubbles. I have read why the DOW went up only to read why it went down FOR THE SAME REASON!!!!!!

I look at my EOY statements and if I have not lost anything I consider my self a winner. Last year I only made 7% but I slept soundly every nite. I must aslo say I did make numerous recommendations to friends who pulled the trigger and I did not.

Now every bone in my body says GOLD is the place to be. I have read numeous articles pro and con. Bottom line I believe I must make a leap of faith and be prepared for extreme volatility. BUT I am looking 6 to 8 years down the road. I am able to mentally withstand a huge drop because I believe (numerous indicators) every other investment is paper.

Guess I just would feel a bit of comfort if replies to this posting felt as I do. I want to put 29% of my 401k into GOLD specifically GLD
