Good for you. For the rest of us that are ensconced in a Windows world I welcome the security and journaling of NTFS. Convert your K:\ to NTFS or if (as I supect) its a share from your Linux box - use the Linux box to tarball it to tape - that should suit what you need.

Its asking a lot for a client OS to back up LAN attached drives. If they are LAN attached whatever attached them to the LAN should back them up.
