Don't know if that applies this year. Here in Chicago it appears we're shaping up to have another "Year Without a Winter" like we had last year. Daytime high temps have been in the 40s the past two days, and that continues through the week with highs in the 50s by Friday and Saturday.

Also, we've only had 1.3 inches of snow so far this season. My cousin Barb who lives in Texas told me on Facebook that they've had more snow there so far than here in Chicago.
