I posted a message awhile back regarding my nightmare with Advanta. The saga continues...I came home one night to find 2 messages from customer service saying "call us immediately". Lo and behold, I actually got to speak to a live person! I explained to her all of my problems (too numerous to mention here) and she was very attentive, nice even, especially when I mentioned the violations Advanta had made in respect to the Fair Credit Billing Act (no statement for 3 billing cycles). The major problem was the interest rate on the account. The promised 5.9% for 9 months had been mysteriously increased to 13.99% since day 1 of the account. Well, she fixed this, made it retroactive to day 1 and reversed all the late charges that had been posted in error. A total correction of $143.18! Yes, Fools, I did get her name and direct extension in case these corrections don't show up on my next statement.Moral of the story: Know the laws and the rights they provide to the consumer. Customer service departments pay more attention to an informed consumer.Christine
