Goodness...we live in a LCOL area, and it costs us almost $19K thousand a year just to fund our escrow account for yearly expenses, i.e real estate taxes, quarterly tax payments, car/home insurance, personal propery taxes etc.

We have no mortgage or car payments (2011 Corvette Grand Sport and 2011 Honda Pilot Touring 4WD). We also carry no credit card debt.

My hat is off to anyone who can cover total living expenses on $35K per year.....even if we could, I don't think we would. We only get one chance at this life, and I don't think we should spend it steaing ketchup packets and napkins from our local restaurants.
