That's a very interesting bit about Infinity. It seems like it is getting a much bigger push than I was expecting. I will be really interested to see how much traction it gets.

Over at ATVI, Fools are dismissing it as an imitation of Skylanders, which makes me think they are worried. My take is Disney is pushing this as an alternative to traditional console video games, which they have been shutting down, as they focus on this and social/mobile games.

Who's eyebrow was most raised by a lack of conversation of Avatar Land or the WDW Pleasure Island reimagination, the former which is supposed to finalize design in the current year, and the latter which was put on hold a couple years ago and to my knowledge never completed...

It may be that Avatar the movie doesn't have enough long term draw to make it worth a major theme park investment, which would have life span of 40 years or so. I haven't heard anyone mention Avatar in quite a while, while Pinocchio got brought up in a meeting today.

There is an Avatar sequel planned for 2016 and I believe 2017. I have not heard any word that these movies have been delayed or canceled, and the new land is intended to open in concert with the films. The announced plan was pretty firm even if not in detail, so I would expect if those plans had changed, an announcement would have been made, since it would affect both Disney and James Cameron considerably and materially.

Who doesn't agree that the investment would have to have a 40 year return but does agree it should be considered a long term investment...
