By comparison, Iran's political ANALYSIS SEEMS STUCK ON THE "Death to Israel!" level.



Perhaps the biggest American foreign policy failure was the support of liberals and Jimmy Carter to undermine the Shah of Iran in the late 1970s, allowing Khomeini to come to power. Perhaps that was inevitable, but we never tried to keep the Shah in power and instead undermined his regime.


Immense amounts of blood and conflict have flowed from that change in government, including the Iran-Iraq War, the Iraq-Kuwait-American War, the Bush vs Saddam War and most of the Iraq, Syrian and Afghan War, and the 9/11 attack.


Thank you Jimmy Carter, so-called apostle of peace!
