Great post Chuck,

My sister also was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma. Almost a diametrically opposite story. She presented with symptoms and since she is a diabetic, she sees an Internal medicine specialist who immediately ordered the MRI indicated. Following the scan a biopy was undertaken and the diagnosis was made in the matter of 2 weeks from start to finish. Exam, test, Biopsy and then a plan of care made. Exactly the opposite of your wife's horrible experience. Sort of makes the point doesn't it. Sad but true. My sister also responded well to treatment and is doing quite well. :)

Who can't relate similar stories in many differing fields. Law, business, police responses to crimes(violent or otherwise). Often times it comes down to who is on the other side of the equation.

I love my job. I enjoy challenges. I love to operate and "fix things". I have hundreds of baby pictures on my walls. Ultrasound pics with adorable little comments on "private parts" when we figure out boy/girl things. I enjoy new discoveries and get the most gratification when I get a card or letter in the mail. A hug and a "I couldn't have done it without you" means more than any paycheck. Yesterday I performed a Robot hysterectomy on a lady who was sent to me by her daughter. We had delivered 2 of her children and she wanted her mom to go see "Her Doctor". What a compliment. When I sent her home this morning, her daughter said, "I knew we could count on you. Thanks!"

While it may be hard, the citizens of this great country have to stand up to political gamesmanship and special interests to achieve what could once again be the country leading the way in how to take care of folks. We have the money and the know-how.

Best of luck in your investments and in your family as well.

Wooly.............. who just delivered the cutest 6 pound 3 ounce little man. Now off to Myrtle Beach for the weekend. Everyone play nice.
