Every step helps.

This year, for the family gift exhange, I put each giftee's packages in a big Greenbag (99 cents at Long's Drugs). It is made of woven cotton and holds about two grocery bags full of stuff.

My grandson has already used it for an overnight bag. I use mine to take supplies to church. My daughter intends to eschew grocery bags and use the Greenbag.

The company is manking lots of kinds of organic and recyclable bags. Many retailers are stocking them, including Target which has a somewhat smaller bag, in red with its logo, that folds up into a packet that can be slipped into a purse.
