Greetings horse racing fans! I was wondering if anyone has ever come across ratings for the overall quality of racetracks (purses, horses, facilities, etc.). Obviously there is a big difference between a track like Del Mar and say Thistledown but I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to quantify it. It would be handy for evaluating horses shipping from a different track to race. Thanks!

I'm not sure if there's a handy list, but the size of purses (for the different types of races) would be a good way to judge the quality of a track. After all, higher purses will attract higher quality horses, correct?

Cheers,

Rex
