Greetings, Sandielie, and welcome. You asked:

I was on another money site that said that the new $5000 limit on ira's had been made into law, but I cannot find that information anywhere else. I knew it was in the congress and senate to be voted on but hadn't heard whether it had passed. Has anyone else heard? Or was this web site jumping the gun.

If that's what was said, that's wishful thinking on the other site's part. While there is such a proposal pending in Congress, it has not yet received final approval by that body to my knowledge, and it definitely has not been signed into law by the President. When -- but more importantly if -- such a measure is enacted and signed into law, you may be assured it will receive the widest of publicity.

Regards..Pixy
