hi everyone, first time post on this board, and im posting solely because it has so many posts and i feel it will reach a bunch of people....

i have been using TMF for the past year for checking on stocks, but only recently started using the message boards. i enjoy TMF over other sites because other sites, such as , have such a professional website that it makes me feel uncomfortable being there. TMF gives off the impression that it IS for regular joe schmoo's who may not know alot about investing.

now, onto this charging for usage mumbo jumbo...
TMF is NOT a superior website. yes, it does give a daily market synapsis in a semi-comical way, but they get much of their news from other websites. i do like the way that their website is set up in a cartoon-like way, it is inviting, and i like the way that TMF manage's multiple personal portfolio's (i have 9 that i check several times a day), but i can do this at several other places, even AOL lets me do this. The interface is very easy to use, but the information that it contains can be found anywhere.
message boards???? they are only as good as the people that use them. many people on stock boards are positive on the stock's whose message boards they are on, otherwise, why would they follow that stock??? only a few people provide decent information, and if they leave, then the boards are useless.

on a sidenote, should people be charged for AIM, aka instant messenger, aka im, people wouldnt pay for it, they dont really need it! there are plenty of other im sources out there. same thing with napster... no one pays for napster! they just moved onto morpheus, or imesh, or audiogalaxy. same thing here...

TMF, you really did it this time! your going to lose a majority of your fan base, and you scare away newbies when you charge a fee. you guys gave in, and its a shame....

FUMA ~ ~ who obviously didnt get a lucky rabbits foot when they were passed out (freebies)
