>> For specific shares, is it sufficient to tell the broker (in my case Schwab) 'sell the shares of
XYZ that I bought on date AA/BB/CC', and will this information be reflected in my statement? <<

I have a related question. I am new to investing via
a broker (up to now, I have only done 401k and employee
stock purchase). I choose PCFN as my discount broker and
I do not see a way to indicate which shares to sell
when I do online trading. As far as I can tell this same
issue exists with many online brokers. How does one tell
the broker which shares to sell?

Thank you,

Craig Blackwood
