>>"EBIX opened lower and fell to 26.10 with such amazing results. It seems to do this each quarter when results are declared and beat estimates. What is causing this? I love this company and it breaks my heart each time the market reacts irrationally to the results. Any thoughts?"Ebix had a nice run-up prior to earnings, and I think it was just a matter of "buy the rumour, sell the news".With stocks it I think it is better not to sweat the daily moves, and look at the big picture instead. Ebix is a great growing business that I am happy to own for the long term, for both its own growth, and the slow realization of the market of its potential (and PE expansion). Looking at a 1 year chart, it certainly looks like the market is beginning to realize Ebix's value.Who cares what the market does on one day (unless you are going to buy or sell on that day)?
