You're right. Shortly after filing Chapter 13 (hence, no credit card) I had to take a business trip and rent a car. Alamo was the only car rental place in Houston that would take a debit card...they didn't care about the little Visa logo.

Good luck. I actually tried that once and they wouldn't do it.
