>I've just been recently married. My concern is>what should I do with my wife's and my Iras? Congratulations.>Both are traditional Iras. My Ira is in >Vanguard's 500 Index fund...her's is in a CD. You should consider getting her's out of the CD and into mutual funds. Index funds are a good, low cost option.>Also should one of the Iras' be a ROTH Ira.If you're a long way from retirement, the more likely it is that the tax free growth on your contributions will outweigh the taxes from conversion. If you can pay the taxes without using the IRA assets, it may be a good idea.
