GusSmed writes:As an aside, I absolutely hate the Switch ads. They remind me of the AT&T ads back when MCI was just getting dangerous, in which they'd outright lie, claiming that you'd get connected to some foreign country where they answer the phone "ona-wona-be-say" instead of your intended party. Instead of touting the advantages of the Mac, the Switch ads mostly try and smear the PC.I don't have a TV so haven't seen many of the "switch" ads but I did catch one where a woman describes her father(?) getting a digital camera for christmas and he has all sorts of problems getting it to work under Windows. She then uses her Mac and all is well.I laughed when I saw that ad because a few years ago a relative of mine got a digital camera and had all sorts of problems getting it to work with his older Mac. But wait, that's not all that made me laugh. Just last christmas I hid away for a few hours playing around on my aunt's Windows machine. When I came back I excused my extended absence by saying I had to install some new drivers to get a digital camera to work and had problems (it went ridiculously smoothly).I laughed because I don't think I'm Apple's target audience."Hi, I'm Matt, and I use Windows driver problems as an excuse to escape my family around the holidays."
