I would like to nominate Habitat for Humanity for the TMF Charity Drive. It certainly fits the five tenents laid out by David Gardener.

For those who don't know about Habitat, it uses mostly volunteers and donated materials to help those individuals build homes who would not normally be able to build homes. This charity is not free for the recipient, though. The future homeowner must put in a certain number of hours at the job site if he or she is able. Also, the house is usually given in the form of a low- or no-interest loan. Habitat uses the money it receives in payment and donations as seed money to help more people build homes.

P.S. I am not affiliated with Habitat in any way other than being a donor.
