Check out these links re: Halliburtonhttp://majorbarbara.blogspot.com/March 17 is pretty interesting among other links. LOTS of links on this pagehttp://www.alternet.org/story.html?StoryID=15445http://moneycentral.msn.com/content/CNBCTV/Articles/TVReports/P42827.asp I can't vouch for the accuracy of these articles. What I can say is this.1. If Clinton had business dealings like Cheney had/has with Halliburton, there would be an independent counsel at work instead of an investigation buried by the justice dept. and ignored by the corporate mcmedia.2. Since Bush/Cheney took office, Halliburton has been awarded a significantly higher number of government contracts. 3. A subsidiary of Halliburton got the lucrative contract to build a new facility at Guantanamo Bay. 4. One would think that, with Cheney under investigation (supposedly anyway), the Bush administration would want to avoid even the appearance of conflict of interest/shady payback deals. I personally don't believe Cheney is honorable. It appears he was the kind of CEO that TMF and others disapprove of. When this kind of pork barrel payback goes virtually unreported and unanalyzed by the media, I question the independence of the media. These issues and these contracts should concern all Americans.Mudster
