Happy Thanksgiving all!

My birthday happens to fall on Thanksgiving this year so I'm not about to spend the day in the kitchen. Our children are all out of town this year so we're going out to dinner with our parents and my brother's family. I'm making an apple pie today for dessert.

Brooklyn1948 said: I have finally gotten my husband to make the bed. I told him I have hated making the bed for 42 years and now he does it.
He said he would learn how to cook when he retired but so far I have not seen him near the stove and his has difficulty finding anything in the fridge!

After DH retired I taught him how to unload the dishwasher. If there was something he didn't know where it went he was to leave it on the counter and I'd put it away. Amazingly he knows where to find these items when he needs them! LOL He's gotten a lot better over the last 6 years. He also likes to dust mop our hardwood floors and who am I to stop him!

DH likes to cook or help me when it's something new to him. Mostly I prep, he cooks, I wash, & he dries.
