If we didn't need alarm clock functionality on our bedside radio I would totally go for this machine:


It's just one step too minimalist, though.

I just bought the Model 3, which has a clock (analog, no less!) for my wife. The sound is fine, the FM tuning is fine, but not having a 24-hour or night/day feature on an alarm clock is puzzling.

She has a couple of AM stations she listens to, and the static is unbelievable. This is the reason I may send it back. OTOH, the stations she likes are right-wing talk stations (Are there any left-wing talk stations?), so maybe she should suck it up and get over it, leave the FM on.
