Has it occurred to you that if you pay off the credit cards that your cash flow will be better? You'll have extra money from not having to pay the credit card companies and you won't be pinched as much?PAY OFF THE CREDIT CARDS FIRSTIt doesn't really matter if the OP pays off the credit cards, since the OP insists that any money in the checking account will just get spent anyway at the insistence of the parents. Then, when the OP does run into issues again, and need some of the money that was already spent, they will just charge the cards back up and come back here posting about living paycheck to paycheck. Until the OP becomes financially responsible for themselves, instead of letting their parents run their financial life, or until the OP tires of posting, we are going to continue to see the same drama over and over again.AJ
