hating this task worse than yesterday's!

Good luck!

What I need is a new desk. Seriously. I have a small and junky desk. The thing is, I won't buy a new one until I can afford the desk I want. It will be L shaped and have lots of cabinets with shelves. I really *need* shelves!!! Honestly, about 75% of the stuff that ends up on my desk is stuff that I need to keep, I just have nowhere to go with it.

Are there some sort of temporary measures you can set up? A $7 bookcase or something to serve as short term shelves? I agree having the right setup makes all the difference, but you shouldn't have to wait so long :-)

PS: let me put on my worrywart hat for a moment and make sure that you're absolutely positive that the room your husband is stripping doesn't have any lead paint in it. If it does it's just not worth it for him to work on it while Seany is little.
