Have any other stock holders had a dispute ove service at a F dealer? I cannot find F customer service, only referal back to the dealer who told me not to park my F Explorer under trees to prevent fires (I have had two fires and the person I sold the Explorer to has had one fire) in the heater compartment.

The fires are leaves that get into the heater and the fan resistor gets hot enough set them on fire. Teh dealers other sugestion is to have the fan compartment serviced(cleaned out) every six months at a cost of $125.00.

My gosh, that seems like reasonable advice! Seriously though, I own a 1996 Ford Explorer (wife drives it) and a 1998 Toyota Avalon (my car and it is the most AWESOME car!). Anyway, I have had the Ford in three different dealerships looking for a GOOD or even REASONABLE one and have been frustrated and ticked off at each one. On the contrary the Toyota dealership has EXCEEDED my every expectation. Suspecting it might just be the dealership, last time I took my Avalon to a DIFFERENT Toyota dealership. Same results. Ford needs to FIX their Dealer network! (Amon other things...)
