Having worked in many industries I'm keenly aware that there are skeletons hidden in all their closets. The waste products of manufacturing are more predictable/controllable and less onerous than the waste products of recycling. I've been at both ends of that cycle.

In every case the existence of skeletons is denied until a week after the explosions (or spills or gas releases or ...) when the executives are in exile and their lawyers are saying that the explosion didn't actually happen but that cholesterol due to eating burgers and fries was the cause of death.
