How might Trump have persuaded Carrier and/or Ford to retain jobs that, in your mind, would not result in crony capitalism?


There isn't a way that I'm aware of. If the economics don't favor manufacturing a particular product in the U.S., then you basically have to bribe the companies to stay.

The only thing that I would have done if I were Trump would be to fight for better policies in the U.S. (e.g. lower taxes, lower regulation, and a stable dollar).
