My fiancee and I moved in together in January 2007. We each have have one qualifying child from previous marriages and have been filing as heads of household through 2006. Given that we lived together for the entire year, can we both file as head of household for 2007? Everything seems clear except for the "providing over 1/2 of the cost of maintaining a home" provision. We both contribute approximately 50% for the household expenses. Does the fact that we live in California complicate matters?

Thanks in advance for your help.
