Heck I have CC debt that I never even wanted. My A/C broke, my plumbing fell apart, and I had to put my portion of repairs on CC because it all happened at once. I have no new car, no new clothing, no jewelry, or anything I'd actually WANT to have. Yes, it is nice to have A/C on a sweltering hot day and I prefer not to have sewage backup in my basement, but it's a real bummer to have to put it on CC because it all happened at once.

The good thing is that the CC had a zero balance before this stuff happened, so I got the good rate, at least for a while.

Once you have to finance stuff you'd rather not have to do at all, you become allergic to CC entirely.
