After reading John Mauldin's book – Bulls'eye Investing, I started thinking that since I do not have the min. net worth to invest into a hedge fund (1 million and $200K/ year income), why not manage my own investments as a hedge fund manager would manage them ?

Several books are listed describing hedge fund strategies.

Any comments ? Any books to recommend ? Am I going off the wall in my thinking ?

Thanks for any feedback.
