Hell they can raise the retirement age all they want to. Most people are going to be worn slap out by the time they reach their early to mid 60's. As it is most folks start to take social security at 62.

How the hell do you think all these old geezers are going to be able to compete with younger, faster, and more energetic youngsters? They can't compete. Younger folks are better equipped to compete, with more current knowledge, faster reflexes, more eager, and more willing to travel?

Doddering around drooling bleary eyed daydreaming about retirement? Employers will be looking for the least little thing to get them off the payroll and onto the street.

Well, not everyone, it seems. I was watching some excerpts on the news tonight of Barbara Walters interviewing President Obama, and it occurred to me that she's in her 80s. Heck, she looks better than most people in their 60s, still has enough energy to do what she does, and has no plans to retire anytime soon, apparently.
