Hello dallasmasters,

I have some 403b money in TIAA-CREF as well.

Is your contribution to the 403b matched by your employer? If so, keep putting your money there until you reach the maximum match. It's free money, take it. Then contribute any money you have left over to the ROTH.

Hopefully, your only option is not TIAA, usually it comes along with CREF as an option as well. My money in TIAA has steadildly returned 6.5 to 7% for the last 10 years. However, My CREF investments have averaged over 10%.

Good Luck

Tony
