Hello: I am a retired person and I have put all my savings in a trust account. 1. Assuming I get some interest/dividends/capital gains from this account, what form do I file with INS? 1040? or is there any other form for a trust account? 2. I donot have income from any other sources except the trust account. Do I have to file my tax returns or is there a amount above which if I earn from this account I will have to file?If you mean a grantor trust, or living trust, don't do anything. Just report and file tax returns on everything as you did before as you didn't change the social security number with any assets. You don't need a Tax ID number, nor a form 1041. ed
