In both transactions there is good news and bad news. In both cases you sold higher than you bought. The bad news, in both cases you gave away 6% to 7% of your total gain to a full service brokerage.

In short, if my math is correct, you paid $1065 in commissions to execute 5 trades. How about $40 instead with a discount berokerage?
