Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I need some help. Our Home Owner's Association is in a state of turbulence. One entire section of the community has refused to pay their last year in dues (altogether totalling over $5k); they bullied the acting Pres. into giving them an amnesty, and then held elections at a meeting when no one else in the community was informed that the meeting nor elections would take place. The members of this non-paying section voted each other into the official spots on the board and now this group of non-paying PARASITES runs our HOA. Their reason for not paying this past year: they were never told who to pay or that they were officially part of the HOA. But they did officially use the community trash, ect . . .
My question: Who (if anyone) regulates HOA's? And what recourse do I have on the parasites?
Any help would be much appreciated . . .

Steph
