Her Bootiness was a terror at that age. Woooo! Honestly when she went off the deep end, either direction, was time out in another room. Not actually sure if it helped her, but it sure helped me. Maybe you aren't leaving her in there long enough to fully wind down?

Honestly the best thing we ever did for Her Bootiness is try to anticipate the meltdown. Still do this even now...I can tell when she's heading south, and remove her from the room. She even has gotten to where she takes herself out of play if she's getting wound up.

So maybe you try to head it off at the pass? Notice it's getting raucous, and separate them immediately?
