Thanks for your reply. However i was hoping for some feedback so that I could do it myself as the various savings calculators out on the web generate DIFFERENT results (i.e. which one is correct?)

After looking through the Excel help files, it seemed to me that the FV (future value) function was the one I was looking for, but their overall description was not clear and I had to interprete it (hopefully correctly).
