I actually did better with the Foolish Four than I did with other strategies, particularly the Rule Makers and Rule Breakers. I lost my shirt and pants with those two strategies. Of the three, I lost the least on the F4.

The learning from that experience is that valuation counts. Good companies are fine, but they need to be at a good price as well. At least the F4 had a valuation component to it.
