Here is the response that I received from the fools about losing Phil.
David, Tom and Pat received your email. David has asked me to reply.



The loss of Phil Marti was a definite blow. Because of the necessity of the size of such cuts it
appears inevitable that someone like Phil would be lost. Worth it? Only if it means that TMF can
survive in the long term because then the Fools that have stayed can continue to help other people
as Phil has helped you. And if TMF doesn't survive, then it wouldn't matter anyway.

I doubt this note does anything to assuage your feelings. And I'm sorry about that. But we
appreciate that you took the time to write.
