3-2-1 - Take Action!
To Curb Global Warming, Teens Start Campaign

Promoting Individual Actions
My community group (Anchorage) came up with a “3-2-1” plan to help people save energy, protect the environment, and save money.
The plan goes like this:
Pledge to replace your THREE most commonly used light bulbs with
Compact Florescent light bulbs;
Turn your thermostat down in the winter by TWO degrees;
Unplug ONE appliance when not in use, ultimately saving thousands of
pounds of carbon emissions every year.

Our goal is to get people at area schools to sign the 3-2-1 pledge. We want the students to bring it home to their parents. Ourslogan is “Be Green, Save Green!” because, when you reduce emissions, you're actually using energy more efficiently and also saving money. Even if pledgers aren't able to complete all the steps, we are being educated on energy efficiency and the greenhouse effect. The more we hear it, hopefully the more we'll start to realize the problems facing us at the moment.
