Great note and I agree with everything you said, especially "You don't always get to work with good people or people you like. You still have to get the job done, and it's your best opportunity to stand out." I had plenty of jobs while I was in school that required working with difficult people (customers, coworkers and managers) and doing unpleasant tasks (I actually dug ditches at one point in high school (not prison ;-))). I plan on passing those experiences on to my kids because I am confident that it really does build character, even though I thought MY Dad was just using it as a way to end our conversations. Anyway, thanks for the great insight!
