Hey Sam,

Thanks for the kind comments and the vague and un-actionable (how I hate the word actionable) suggestions. I can't believe I somehow missed your comments about the OSTK restructuring charges on your blog. I am not sure I agree with your point about the charges failing the GAAP requirements to be one-time--it is not that the charges will recur, but that inept management at OSTK keeps making different mistakes, and each type of mistake cannot be expected to recur.

I usually do not trust management's classification of items as non-recurring. A pattern of restructuring charges is definitely a negative sign.

That being said, Patrick Byrne's craziness lulled me into a false sense of security and I consequently did not do as thorough a job reading the Qs and Ks as I should have done.
