Hey Vlad, Hiya Jean!
Hope ya'll doing good!

To tell the truth, I did not think I would last 3 weeks trading futures - always heard how high a risk they are and all the people who lost their @ss trading them and all the other horror stories. I may not last 3 more weeks but I could not stand putting so much at risk for each stock trade to make so little. I mean, to buy 1k shares of $20 stock, without margin, ya put $20k at risk - hoping for it to go fifty cents in your favor, but are lucky if it moves .15 sometimes. With the Futes, its like trading a $1000 per share stock and you basically trade one share (1 contract) looking for moves of 4 - 8 points a few times a day. Each point = $50 so 10 points a day = $500, I like that. GOTTA bail quick when you are wrong or ya get killed tho :-)

IMHO, the leverage that comes with futures is great - but can kill ya as fast as trading stocksif you let it.

I have zero interest in trading stocks now. Futes is where its at for me.

I learned alot DTing stocks and options the past 18 months so hopefully, that will help me in my mission.

I will tell ya this much, the level of discipline required to DT the futes is unreal - even more unreal is the absolute necessity to maintain that high level for an entire trading day!!!! By the end of the day, I feel as tho I ran a marathon or something.

No more wondering if I should buy or sell that upgrade or if the news will gap me the wrong way in the am. Now , I am part of the herd sending these futes up or down.

They start trading in about 2 1/2 - 3 hours and I will be watching to trade them for a few points - or more tonight if I see an opportunity.

Theres an awefull lot that is really great about trading the futes, sure they can kill ya but IMO, not much worse than anything else out there.
