Hi, 4inthefamily! I've been reading your posts on various boards and I must say I'm extremely impressed. You're so much closer to FIRE than I am. Okay, impressed is wrong - I'm jealous!

Here are some of the answers I've gotten to similar questions:

If you retire early, can you still get money out of retirement accounts or should I be saving money in a different kind of account?
Alternatively, on a ROTH IRA, you can withdraw your contributions at any time, without penalty. Please note: CONTRIBUTIONS, not earnings.

What do you do about health insurance if you retire early?
I'm dying to hear an answer to this. It's one of our biggest concerns right now with our FIRE plan.

How do you know how much you need to be FIRE?
The short answer: multiply your expected yearly income needs by 25.
