Hi Blue,I worked in Nordstrom Westchester (in White Plains, NY) for two years. Can tell you and anyone interested that the available merchandise changes wildly depending on the region, state, and even the store in which you shop. Some stores gear towards the younger customer (like Roosevelt Field, NY) and some towards the Boomer businesswoman (King of Prussia, NY) and some towards the older lady (like Westchester). If you call the Personal Shopper or your favorite department, the salesperson who answers the phone should talk to you in some depth about what is offered at that store, and what other regional Nordys might be better for you. (If the department is busy, the salesperson should ask for your number, arrange a call-back time, and call back within that time). Also, your Petite Focus salesperson was right to tell you about Caslon, which is Nordy's new house brand. It's not Bridge-Designer (the most expensive off-the-rack brands), but it is of very good quality, well-made and well-designed. The best choices are in Point of View (mainstream misses) right now, but the Special Size lines (Petite and Plus) are growing all the time. I think you ought to find some lovely things for Fall. And do remember to attend the Anniversary Sale, during which terrific Fall clothes are sold at a deep discount. They ought to be showing the best of the Caslon line by then.Hope this helps!
