Hi Brian,

While your checking things out, find out if the loads are waived in your case. Our 401K is with Fidelity and we have hundreds of choices, not just Fidelity , but all different types of funds. We also have a broad selection of Index Funds. Many of our fund choices have loads, but they are waived in the case of our 401K account. I had to call the administrator to make sure.

In my case this gives me the opportunity to get into funds, that I never would have taken a second look at due to the loads.

Also, just a note. Our index fund choices were not recognizable to me at first. I didn't think we had any index funds, but as it turns out, we have index funds managed by SSgA with expense ratios of .07 (similiar to expenses for institutional funds). What a pleasant surprise that turned out to be. It took some sluething for me to sort it all out.

Anyway, I'm pretty lucky to have such a broad 401K. Good Luck gettin your 401K expanded-- be persistent.
