Hi Dusty,

I've been a CAPS beta-test player for a little while now. While I think it's a great game, I'm not sure that it's really suited for the kind of contest that this challenge was. CAPS is all about relative investment returns -- trying to answer the question of whether or not you can beat the market. You can 'win' in CAPS if all your picks go down, so long as the market in general goes down more.

This particular contest, on the other hand, was about providing a lifetime worth of reliable retirement income for a young family of early retirees on limited means.

There are different winning strategies and different success criteria for the CAPS game than for this retirement portfolio. I do very much like your idea of extending the CAPS concept to other realms, though.

Best regards,
-Chuck
