Hi Fletch,I wouldn't say you're thinking is backwards. It may be worthwhile on companies one is very familiar with to put in a limit order 15% or 20% the current price before earnings and see if one can snag some shares on something like that. Maybe. Trouble is, those drops can lead to several months of down and declining prices. Then again, it could rebound fairly quickly, as Coach seems to have done. Don't know if that game is worth it or not. :-PCheers,Jim
