i am now back from kenya and got some very satisfying shots of lions,
zebra and cheetahs........thanks to all your advice and help i managed
very well indeed w my first dslr....a sony a-300 (i think)....i did everything you told me, went to the store played w a couple of cameras and ended up w the sony becuz it feels so good in my hand....just like
my various maxxumx.....along w the body, i bought an 80-200 lens and a
polorizer......it surprised me that polorizers, sky filters etc from the maxxums were not appropriate for digital, (or so i was told)...... ttook along one of my maxxums just in case i couldnt get the hang of the new camera.....never used it, but it was
comforting to know that all my maxxum lenses fit the sony.....

i'd love to show off w some pics, but here's my next question/problem...
how do i get the photo's on the computer? do i have to buy some kind
of attachment or what? both of my computers (home and work) are dell
laptops.....and i am dying to get these going so i can fiddle around and
crop and etc.........i am a hopeless computer nerd, so pls point me in
a direction that any moron would understand.

gratefully,
sasha

ps. what is so wonderful about this camera---in addition to it's precision and terrfiv amti-shake feature, is that i can enlarge, zoom
in or out----move the pic left and right........is there a was to lock
in the image once i get it just right----or do i do that on the computer
exclusively.

again my thanks for your answers which will (hopefully) not be too
technical for me..

xx
s.
